Some Photos of Life That I Would Like to Remember

Saturday, January 30, 2016

These are a few that have happened (relatively) recently that I would like to remember

For a week, A WHOLE WEEK, the wifi at my apartment has been gone. A place where two nineteen year old girls who are both college students and love Netflix live has not had internet for a week. Needless to say this week has been a struggle. But, there has been some upsides to not having internet, there are I promise. We have been playing Wii, listening to music, having real conversations, sitting on our roof, drinking tons of coffee, leaving the apartment to study, and hanging out in our Christmas pj's. By no means do I want to keep living without wifi, because I do not please bring back my Netflix and social media and my ability to do homework while laying in bed, but the world did not end without it. In fact it has been a nice break from constantly being on my phone or watching one too many episodes of NCIS (or maybe seven too many). Without the internet our apartment has been super clean this week.

I went to Disney there will be a post about this, I promise. Hopefully by next Christmas.

Maci has really picked up on her dental hygiene

First week back at school grocery shopping. The second week was about 1/8 of this.

New coat, warm shoes, and a cute dog.

First real snow and my sweet girls.

My roommate painted the mural for me in our living room which is the coolest.

Maci's Take on Finals

Monday, December 28, 2015

Hi guys it’s Maci,

My mom is super busy with finals week so she thought it would be a good idea for me to blog today.

I am not really sure what my mom wants me to blog about, I am just going to tell you whats been happening about our apartment this week.

Mom left me totally stranded last week for three whole days. She said it was for Thanksgiving or something like that. Mom told me it comes every year, but I don’t remember it last year. I guess if we are giving thanks I am thankful for a few things, like tennis balls, and bones, and treats, and bananas, and sissy, and squeakers, and Mac, and oh yeah mom and dad, I like them too. I wasn’t too bad I guess, you know not being with mom all the time. I am glad she is back though.

This week mom says she is going to super busy with school and I have to be patient. I don’t like it when mom says I have to be patient, it means my walks are shorter and I don't get to play tennis ball all week long. Mom is spending all of her time studying for test, like I had in training, and writing papers. I am sad mom isn’t able to play with me this week, but I am still having fun with Maccabee, his mom is studying for tests too. This means a lot of things like the dishes aren’t done and my room is super messy, mom just can’t keep her stuff put away. My grandma says she has always been like that.

Kisses,

Maci

Maci's First Birthday

Thursday, October 22, 2015

Happy birthday sweet girl! I did not let die you and you do not pee in the house anymore, I would say it was a pretty successful year for both of us. Thanks for letting me be your dog mom, clamming me down when I need, and being the best snuggler of all!

The 4th

Monday, July 6, 2015

I am so happy to have spent the 4th in Brooklyn! We a very relaxed day no one was in any rush, we were all just having fun. My mom, Abbey, and I bought everyone patriotic outfits to celebrate, I mean what kind of holiday is it if you don't go all out! We headed to Prospect Park for a cookout, when went later in the day which turn out to be perfect because it wasn't packed. We had hot dogs, celebrated America's birthday, and were thankful for our freedom. After debating whether we should try and find fireworks, we decided to hang out on the rooftop. Which was probably the best idea ever because we ended up with a great view of the fireworks (you can see a video on my Instagram). Overall the day was great and I am so happy to live in this wonderful country!

Father's Day

Tuesday, June 23, 2015

Happy Father's day Dad! I love you so much! Thank you for all that you do!

Our day was pretty simple, but absolutely perfect. My brother came into town and of course they played golf. Then we just had a cookout featuring my dad's favorite meal. We spent the whole afternoon spending time together! It was great!

Graduation and Thank You's

Wednesday, June 10, 2015

It is over. It still doesn’t feel real to me. The past four years have had the best and worst years of my life in them. Although I hope to look back fondly on my years in high school, I am not sorry to say they are over. I am so excited about all of the new experiences that are coming my way in the next part of my life. I was extremely happy to have my family here to celebrate this with me.  I couldn’t have made it through these past few years without my closest friends and family.

Mom,
Thank you for teaching me to always put others before myself and love unconditionally.

Dad,
Thank you for showing my how to live a glass half full kind of life no matter what gets thrown at you.

Criston,
Thank you for being a role model to me.

Anna,
Thank you for being my best friend even from 400 miles away.

Colby,
Thank you for always encouraging me to be myself and not be afraid to be different.
Kyle,
Thank you for showing me how to stand on my own two feet and sticking up for me when I couldn’t.

Will,
Thank you for being my number one cheerleader and inspiring me to follow my dreams.

Haley and Ashley,
Thank you for making me smile on days I didn’t think I could.

Everyone else that I love,
Thank you for being there to encourage, love, and support me. You all mean the world to me.

Memorial Day Weekend

Tuesday, May 26, 2015

for Memorial Day weekend we went camping the mountains. it brought back so many memories of being little and camping with my family's closest friends. there was card games, camp fires, marshmallows (my favorite), hot dogs, and of course lots of laughter. the campsites we stay at were absolutely amazing, they were right by the river, and i mean right by the river! it was so much fun, i didn't even mind sleeping on the ground. there were always kayakers going by and the water was crystal clear. although it brought back memories of childhood it was nice being older and able to appreciate the memories we were making at the moment. i love being a part of groups were friends may as well be family and i couldn't imagine a better way to celebrate this weekend.

thank you to all of the armed forces who give their lives everyday to keep us safe. also thank you to their families for supporting them and making the sacrifice to let them go

Elle Belle showing her support this weekend

since my mom's birthday was on friday we brought hats and cake to celebrate. i love the photo that (most of) us all together, including the dogs because in our group dogs are just as much a part of the family

i found out that if you want your dog to be (even more of) a snugglier take them to where when the sun goes down the temperature drops to 40 degrees and they will be right on you the whole night

the mornings were breath taking with the sun coming up and the mist on the water. at night it was just as beautiful the sky was clear and there were millions of stars.

GerBears first swim. she could barely even walk in her life jacket

Maci is such an outdoory dog. she loved the water, i couldn't keep her out of it. i even convinced (forced) her to go kayaking with me. we only had one time when she tried to make a b line for the shore

Mother's Day

Sunday, May 10, 2015

Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful Mom who taught me to be brave, always follow my dreams no matter how big they are, and love without limits.Thank you for all that you do Mom! For Mother's Day Will and I cleaned the house for my Mom, set up a pajama night with a movie included, and some very pretty flowers. Will made homemade popcorn, which absolutely the best. My Mom loves white cheddar popcorn. Once the girls got home my Mom made her famous grilled cheeses for all of us before we started the movie.

On a more serious note I am not okay with Haley being this big, where is the eight year old I met four years ago.

And to this sweet girl who made me a Dog Mom, I love you.
